There are three main indicators to evaluate the quality of a particle size analyzer:
(1) Resolution, resolution refers to the amount of change in the analysis results when the difference between two particle sizes is very small (such as a difference of 1um in D50).
(2) Repeatability (also known as precision), refers to the degree to which the measured values are consistent with each other when the same sample is repeatedly measured.
(3) Accuracy refers to the degree to which the average value of the measured results agrees with the true value under certain conditions. The "true value" here refers to the nominal value given on the certificate of the certified reference material. In fact, any method of determining the value, including the absolute method, has errors. This standard value is only a more reliable approximation of the true value.
